Urban Poetry is extremly pleased to present you the long awaited debut EP from Jaskin & Uneven – their Illusion EP. Almost exactly two years after the Wunderduos visit on our last Urban Poetry night in Berlin and one pandemic later their stunner is finally here! 5 wonderfully crafted tracks show what these men are capable of, rounded up by a magnificent remix of the titletrack by none other then Microfunks very own Dissident. The journey through the Illusion EP starts with „Daydreaming“, a greatly woven piece of musical art which opens big harmonical plains within its wide and spacious sound. „Illusion“ is the epic title track of the EP and has an etheral and almost spiritual feel to it – warm synth pads, playful drumwork and a deeply howling bassline bring this masterpiece together like a blessing from the sun. Classic Music. Dissident laid his hands on the remix and what a stunner did he deliver! Heavy, tribal drums take the spirit of the original and transform the celestrial atmosphere into a peaktime dancefloor crawler of highest regard. „Meridian“ marks the middle line of this EP and brings us deep but with its strings also almost balearic atmospheres which lay a warm, atmospheric, deep and captivating mantle over every dancefloor this track is dropped at. Absolutely lovely and timeless. „Night Patterns“ gives us ideas of sprawling cities at night, reflecting neon lights on the streets and crowded nightclubs – something we all love and need; like this track. Closing the EP is „Inner Thoughts“ - a smooth and soothing ballad with heavenly melodies and still driving bassline. We could not have asked for any better closing of this EP. Bliss.
